Introduction
SL1 is the print job format of Prusa Research’s resin printers, the Original Prusa SL1 and SL1S. A resin printer cures a whole layer at once by shining an image through a screen, so instead of tool paths the slicer produces one black and white image per layer, along with the exposure times and other settings.
PrusaSlicer writes these files,
and the SL1S uses the extension .sl1s for the same layout.
Structure
An SL1 file is a ZIP archive. config.ini holds the job settings the
printer reads: the layer count and height, exposure times and the material.
prusaslicer.ini keeps the full slicer configuration. Each layer is a PNG
image, numbered in order, and a thumbnail folder holds preview images for
the printer’s screen.
