Introduction
An .afphoto file is the working file of
Affinity Photo, the photo editor made by
Serif. It keeps pixel layers, adjustment and live filter layers, masks, text and
vector shapes, so the work can be edited again later.
The Affinity programs share one underlying document format, so Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher can open Affinity Photo files too. The format is not published; to use the work elsewhere it is exported, for example as PSD, TIFF or PNG.
Structure
The layout is Serif’s own binary format and has not been documented. Files from newer versions of Affinity Photo may not open in older ones.
