What is a UST file?

A UST file is a file used by the UTAU (short for “Ust-Based Text-To-Speech”) software, which is a vocal synthesizer similar to VOCALOID and VOCALOID2. UST files contain information about how to synthesize and modify the pitch, timing, and other characteristics of a singing voice, allowing users to create and customize their own singing voices or create vocal tracks for music projects.

In UTAU, users can create and edit UST files using the software’s built-in editor, which allows them to input lyrics and specify how the synthesized voice should sing them.
