Introduction
PLS is a plain-text playlist format in the style of a Windows INI file. It came from
the Winamp player and the SHOUTcast streaming system, and internet radio stations
still offer .pls links to tune in. Each entry can carry a title and a
length as well as the file path or URL.
Structure
The file starts with a [playlist] section header. Entries are numbered
from 1: File1 gives the path or URL, Title1 an optional
display title and Length1 the length in seconds, with -1 for
a stream of no fixed length. NumberOfEntries gives the count and
Version=2 marks the format version.
